女士们、先生们、朋友们：

大家下午好！亚洲青年领袖论坛圆满完成各项议程，即将落下帷幕。两天来，各位亚洲杰出青年代表欢聚南沙，围绕“增进青年合作，凝聚共同价值，促进亚洲和平与发展”这一主题共商发展、共叙情谊，共同成就了一届成功、精彩、圆满的盛会。在此，受林克庆书记、郭永航市长的委托，我谨代表广州市和南沙新区对论坛的成功举办表示热烈祝贺，对支持和参与论坛活动的各位朋友表示衷心的感谢！

青年象征活力，青年代表未来。总书记指出：构建人类命运共同体是一个美好的目标，也是一个需要一代又一代人接力跑才能实现的目标。我们高兴地看到，参加本次论坛的各位杰出青年代表既胸怀未来又关注当下，既独立思考又求同存异，在医疗、商业、金融、艺术、创新创业等领域深入交流，发出青年声音，展现青年力量，推动本次论坛取得多方面的积极成果，衷心期望各位青年代表继续保持蓬勃的朝气，奋楫扬帆、勇立潮头，为推进“一带一路”建设、构建人类命运共同体贡献力量。

跟在座的各位青年代表一样，南沙也是一座朝气勃发的年轻城市。这里富有发展活力，位于粤港澳大湾区地理几何中心，是广东省唯一的国家新区、广东自贸试验区最大的片区，十年来主要的经济指标保持年均两位数增长，世界500强项目落户超过240个，高新技术企业十年间增长了近30倍，南沙科学城、香港科技大学（广州）创新涌动，新兴产业集群加速发展，已经成为粤港澳大湾区最具发展活力的区域之一。

这里富有开放基因，作为广州通往海洋的唯一通道，见证了广州“千年商都”的繁荣兴盛。近年来，在国家大力支持和积极推动下，先后建成了华南地区最大的综合性枢纽港口，开通了南沙港铁路中欧班列、中亚班列，落地国家进口贸易促进创新示范区和中国企业“走出去”综合服务基地，举办了大湾区科学论坛、国际金融论坛全球年会等重要活动，现正在握《南沙方案》发布的重大机遇，建设立足湾区、协同港澳、面向世界的重大战略性平台。

这里富有精致格调，山、水、林、田、海交相辉映，有三山叠翠、万亩湿地，有亚洲最大的邮轮母港综合体，有获得国际“五金锚奖”的游艇会，是联合国全球最适宜居住金奖城区，先后两次获评“中国最具幸福感城区”，现在正在加快建设“精明增长、精致城区、岭南特色、田园风格、中国气派”的现代化都市。

Lu Yixian wishes for youth delegates to keep up boundless energy and enterprising spirits

On 26 March, Lu Yixian, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, secretary of CPC Nansha District Committee, and secretary of Party Working Committee and director general of Guangzhou Nansha Development Zone (Nansha Area of Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone), delivered his remarks at the Closing Ceremony of the Asia Youth Leaders Forum. Following is the full text of the speech.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Dear friends,

Good afternoon. The Asia Youth Leaders Forum has wrapped up all its agendas and is about to come to an end. In the past two days, outstanding youth representatives from across Asia have gathered in Nansha to discuss “enhancing youth cooperation, strengthening common values, and promoting peace and development in Asia for further development and renewed friendship. Together, we have achieved a successful, spectacular, and satisfactory event. Entrusted by Secretary Lin Keqing and Mayor Guo Yonghang, and on behalf of Guangzhou Municipality and Nansha New Area, I would like to express my sincere congratulations on this successful forum and extend my heartfelt thanks to all that have supported and partaken in the forum.

Youth symbolizes vitality and the future. President Xi Jinping has noted that building a community with a shared future for mankind is a beautiful goal that calls for efforts to be made by generations. We are pleased to see that the outstanding youth representatives in this forum bear the future in mind while staying true to the present and think independently while seeking common ground amid differences. They have interacted in depth in such fields as health care, business, finance, art, innovation, and entrepreneurship, making a voice of the youth, demonstrating the strength of youth, and leading to positive outcomes in various aspects. I hope sincerely that all the youth delegates here will keep up your boundless energy and your enterprising spirits to devote yourselves to advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and building the human community with a shared future. 

Like the youth representatives here, Nansha is also a young and vibrant city. It is a land of promises. Located in the geometric center of the Greater Bay Area, it is the only state-level new area in Guangdong Province and the largest area in Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone. Over the past decade, its main economic indicators have maintained double-digit annual growth. More than 240 projects from Fortune Global 500 companies have landed in Nansha. The number of high-tech enterprises has increased by nearly 30 times. Nansha Science City and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) are active in innovation. The clustering of emerging industries is accelerating. Nansha has become one of the most dynamic areas in the Greater Bay Area.

It is a land of openness. As Guangzhou’s only access to the sea, it is witness to Guangzhou’s prosperity as the Millennium Business Capital. In recent years, with national support and promotion, Nansha has built the largest comprehensive port in South China, connected Nansha Port Railway with China-Europe Railway Express and China-Asia Railway Express, been approved of the national import trade promotion and innovation demonstration zone and a comprehensive service base for Chinese enterprises “going global”, and organized important events such as Greater Bay Area Science Forum and IFF Annual Meeting. Now it is seizing the major opportunities presented in the Nansha Plan to build itself into a major strategic platform that opens up to the world through advancing the development of the Greater Bay Area and collaboration with Hong Kong and Macao.

It is a land of charms. Mountains, waters, forests, fields, and seas blends in harmony here. There are verdant mountains and vast acres of wetland, the largest cruise home port in Asia, and a 5 Gold Anchor-accredited yacht club. It has been granted a gold award for UN’s LivCom Awards and listed twice as one of China’s happiest cities/districts. At present, it is speeding up the development of a modern city with smart growth, fine urban area, Lingnan characteristics, pastoral style, and Chinese elegance.
