许俊海:广汽埃安坚持开发“有温度”的造车科技

11月27日下午,在2021亚洲青年领袖论坛“科技创新与智慧城市”主题论坛平行对话中,广汽埃安技术总监CTO许俊海就“广汽埃安坚持开发‘有温度’的造车科技”的话题发表了自己的观点。

应该说,按“新”这个词来诠释的话,我们广汽埃安确实是一股新势力。为什么这么说呢?很多人会说广汽不是一个传统造车企业吗?但是,我们埃安是在2017年才成立的。当时,因为我们认定了电动智能网联车是未来方向,所以秉承“专人做专事”的理念,我们把埃安独立出来,我们的整个公司,包括我们的品牌,也于去年独立出来了。原来我们的开发只基于传祺的品牌,现在埃安也已经独立出来,包括我们的logo的独立,原来广汽的LOGO可能都要换掉,当然集团也非常支持我们。

刚刚主持人问“更聪明的陪伴”这点有没有变,我觉得是没有变,这是我们的初心。为什么我们的口号是“更聪明的陪伴”而不是别的呢?首先,更聪明就是更智能,而陪伴是一个有温度的词,它不是一个简单的冷冰冰的科技,是有温度的,这是我们的造车理念。我们的车也不再是一个简单的交通工具,而是一个智能终端,一个第三空间,能够提供给人更好的体验、更多的想象空间。

关于广汽埃安,我简单介绍一下。2017年成立之后到现在,我们陆续推出了AION S、LX、V和Y这4款车。目前,我们的月订单已经接近3万台。但是,我们的产能受限,现在只有10万的产能。所以我们现在正在快速扩容,明年的年初就会扩容到每年20万台这样一个产能。

应该说,我们广汽埃安在智慧交通方面也是做了非常大的努力。包括我们跟小马智行的合作,打造了一款AION LX作为平台的车型,它具备线控、具备智能化的基础。它非常适合像小马智行等初创公司,他们在智能驾驶领域用我们的车去搭载他们的系统,然后在路上进行测试。我们广汽埃安同时也在做自己的研发,像L4级自动驾驶,L+这种辅助驾驶,我们都在自行研发,现在已经开始在做示范运行,预计到明年会有一个车队,在我们的如祺平台上面,在大湾区进行示范运行。包括小马智行的车,如果搭载了我们的车型可能也会在路上跑,还有像文远等平台也会用我们的车型。

另外,我们在V2X这一块,去年就推出了世界上首款5G V2X的AION V的车型,也是首次搭载了华为的5G芯片。应该说,我们就是率先打通了在V2X这一块智能交通的桥梁,基本上可以实现我们与智慧交通系统,比如说马路上的这些红绿灯、通讯等等方面的尝试。应该说,在整个智慧交通方面,我们是不遗余力地在推进。

刚才有一个很有意思的话题,其实我也想说一下。刚刚听到北理工的教授说什么是smart city,我觉得smart city就是smart service。这个smart city有点像我们现在在做一个智能座舱的系统。我们智能座舱系统现在怎么做的呢?我们在前几天的车展上发布了EA3.0这样的一个电气架构。这个架构有底层的这些服务,我们把它原子化,就是一个一个小小的服务经过原子化之后,在我们上层的应用层可以进行自由的组合。

现在,我们的智慧城市的各个领域,其实都是分散而又独立的,相对封闭。如果我们想真正实现智慧城市的话,我个人觉得应该是建立一个底层之后,要把这些服务一个一个地细化,封装成一个一个小小的模块,然后我们又具备这些相应的标准接口,为以后我们实现这种大的服务的联网和智能化的应用打下基础。如果我们这样做的话,我觉得未来我们的智慧城市就会越来越智能。因为如果不是这样做的话,我们会发现做了一段时间之后,各自为政。各个领域,比如说我们的智慧交通系统,就会出现我们做一块,智慧医疗系统做一块,智慧教育做一块的状况,整合在一起之后就发现互相之间又不能打通,形成不了一个真正的大智慧城市,这是我个人的一些感觉。

像刚才莫总提到的法规这块,确实是这样。因为他们的领域跟我们的领域不一样,我们是面向私人领域。比如说我们之前也说过L3级的自动驾驶,但真正的L3定义一直没有公布出来。那么,我们到底是能不能够宣传?现在,相关监管部门是不允许我们这样去宣传的。所以我们未来在法规这块一定要去先行,有关这一块我们现在也在跟智慧中心的测评组(我们是一个副组长单位)一起制定相关的测评方法。包括L3级的法规,我们也在协助他们做这方面的工作,我们在促进这个法规的落地。这是一个痛点。

第二个痛点我觉得就是在5G这个领域。虽然我们在去年就已经实现了5G的搭载,但是其实现在的5G,包括手机的5G,好像目前的网络都不是非常发达。听说有些5G基站因为耗电比较厉害,到晚上把电关了。所以,我觉得以后真的要实现万物互联,在智慧城市智慧交通上面要真正实现V2X的话,5G是非常必要的。我觉得在5G的这种基建上,可能要加大力度去推进才行。虽然我们的5G是可以实现标配的,但现在这种应用场景还是相对比较少,还要共同地进行探讨。


On 27 November, Xu Junhai, Chief Technology Officer of GAC AION, shared how GAC AION sticks to warm-hearted car manufacturing at the Technology Innovation and Smart City Forum of the Asia Youth Leaders Forum 2021.

Under the definition of "new", GAC AION is indeed a new force. Many people think that GAC is a traditional car manufacturer. However, GAC AION was set up in 2017. At that time, we were sure that electric Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) would be the future. Upholding the philosophy of specialism, we separated  AION from GAC, including the entire AION company and brand, last year. The AION brand used to be a part of Trumpchi, but now AION is an independent brand. Maybe our AION logo that includes GAC will also be changed. Of course, GAC Group gives us the full support. Have we deviated from the GAC tagline "smarter companionship"? I don't think so, because this is our original aspiration. Why do we call it "smarter companionship" instead of another slogan? First, "smarter" means "more intelligent". Companionship is a word inspiring warmth. It's not a simple and cold technology; it is warm. So, this is our philosophy of car manufacturing. Our car is no longer a simple means of transportation. It is an intelligent terminal, a third space that can provide better experience and more room for imagination. 

Let me give you a brief introduction to GAC AION. Since it was set up in 2017, we've launched four models of cars consecutively, including AION S, LX, V, and Y. Currently, we receive about 30,000 orders every month. However, we can manufacture only 100,000 cars per year due to limited production capacity. So, now we are speeding up the expansion of our capacity. By the beginning of next year, our production capacity will be expanded to 200,000 cars every year. GAC AION has also made great efforts in smart transportation, including cooperation with Pony.ai. We've created AION LX as a model. It is equipped with drive-by-wire technology and intelligence, and is very suitable for startups like Pony.ai. In terms of intelligent driving, Pony.ai will equip our cars with their system and then test the cars on the road. GAC AION is also doing our own research and development. Be it L4 autonomous driving or driver-assistance systems like L Plus, we are doing independent research and development. Now we have started a demonstration. Next year, there will be a car fleet which will be on the ON TIME ride-hailing platform in the Greater Bay Area on a demonstration basis. Pony.ai's cars may also run on the platform if they are AION cars. Other ride-hailing companies, including WeRide, will use our cars too. As for Vehicle to Everything (V2X), last year, we launched the world's first car with 5G and V2X, AION V, which is equipped with Huawei's 5G chip for the first time. I can say we are the first to make the connection to V2X and intelligent transportation. We can realize communication between our cars and smart transportation system including traffic lights on the roads. We are sparing no efforts to promote smart transportation.

Well, I'd like to talk about a very interesting topic, What’s smart city? I think smart city means smart service. Smart city is a bit like a smart cockpit system we are working on. How are we working on this smart cockpit system? Several days ago, we released EA 3.0 on a car exhibition. For this framework, we disintegrate the underlying services to individual services, and then, at the upper level, the application level, we make free combinations of them. Now, in our smart city, you can see that each area is independent and relatively closed. If we truly want to build a smart city, I think we should set up an underlying platform, break the services down to single units, and package them into small modules. Then, we should have corresponding standard interfaces. This lays a foundation to realize the connection of large service modules and intelligent applications in the future. If we plan to do the work like this, our smart city, I think, will be more and more intelligent in the future. If we don't do this, you will find that each of us will go our own way in separate fields. For example, we do something in smart transportation system; someone else does something in smart medical system or smart education system. When they are joined together, they cannot be connected. This is not a real smart city. So that is what I think.

About laws and regulations, for example, we talk about L3 autonomous driving, but the definition has not been determined. Can we advertise it? Actually, regulators don't allow us to advertise our L3 technology. So, in the future, laws and regulations should precede. As for this, we are now working with the assessment group of the smart center as a deputy team leader to develop some assessment methods. And we are also assisting them to formulate L3 laws and regulations. So, we are promoting the drafting and implementation of laws and regulations. This is one of the pain points. The second pain point is 5G. We achieved the 5G deployment last year, but the current network of 5G, including the one for mobile phones, is actually not very advanced. I heard that some 5G base stations are powered off at night due to high power consumption. I think 5G is very necessary to the realization of Internet of Everything in smart city and V2X in smart transportation in the future. I also think we should do more on the construction of 5G infrastructure. There's no problem in realizing the standard configuration of 5G. However, there are relatively few application scenarios. Maybe we need to discuss together.
