各位下午好。我今天带来的演讲主题是“数字技术助力农业的高质量发展”。极飞科技是一家农业科技公司,我们希望通过科学技术的方式以及一些产品去解决农业遇到的问题。
我是极飞公司的创始人。我们能看见,在未来几十年间,不仅在中国,在全世界各地,都会遇到非常严重的粮食安全问题。一方面是因为土地的面积不会再增长,而全球人口却在不停地上升,我们用什么方式能解决这个问题呢?除此之外,目前中国正在发生的事情就是农村劳动力人口在不停下降,虽然中国的总人口数没有下降,但年轻人都不愿意待在农村,都愿意到大城市来,比如广州。最近一段时间特别堵车,据说也是因为许多年轻人疫情之后都跑到广州来。不只在中国,我们看到海外国家也有一样的问题,由于年轻人不愿意从事农业劳动,所以农业生产人口不停下降。
这些产品其实是围绕整个农业生产过程中的四个环节展开,叫耕、种、管、收。我们的产品可以帮助传统拖拉机变成辅助驾驶或者自动驾驶。刚才我们能看见在棉花田里面播种的时候特别直,因为采棉机采棉的时候不能用传统方式来种植了,就只能通过自动化拖拉机完成,所以它走一公里或者两公里距离,它也可以保持5厘米正负的偏差。除了耕地领域,还有播种、种植、管理方面也是一样。无人机可以喷洒农药、施肥,甚至有些地方,还可以用无人机来播种。
最后,在农作物整个生产过程中,也可以有大量的科技产品参与其中。原来,一个人如果种植200亩或者500亩土地,可能需要用他的双腿走一天,才能看完整个农田农作物的长势情况,但如果通过农业无人机以及农业物联网的这些产品,他可能一小时都不需要,可能几分钟或者半小时就可以把整个农田管理完毕,在管理环节上大大降低人的参与量。当然,这些所有的内容、硬件、软件参与以后,加上数据、自动化分析,种地变得更加的现代化和智能化。
我们除了把这些设备卖到全世界各个国家,包括中国在内,在海外已经有50个国家和地区正在销售我们的产品,我们同时在做更大胆的探索,把这些产品全部连接起来,形成一个标准解决方案。我们在中国种植3000亩棉花,我们看见超级棉田的产量已经比它周边的种植大户的产量提升了很多,同时它的种植成本还在下降。所以,科学技术不只是在某一个特定环节帮助农民增产增收,当它形成一个完整的解决方案的时候,还在更宽范的范围内解决农业的生产效率问题。
当然,我们能够造出这些产品、造出这些好的软件和硬件,主要还是依赖大湾区的制造业的丰富以及产业链的完善。一台无人机的生产制造,从广州研发团队做完,到东莞生产工厂制造完,最终通过海关出口到国外,这个时间非常短暂。而且,我们每年都会推出一代新产品,快速迭代,从而快速抢占市场。
因为是农业,所以大家很关心。无论是国家还是很多大众都很关心,所以我们的主营业务——农业的科技产品,也是整个极飞的社会责任。在过去很长的时间里,我们也取得一些成绩,减少了一些粮食的损失,也减少了一些水的使用,当然也降低了碳的排放。

Peng Bin explains how digital technology is advancing the high-quality development of agriculture
On 25 March, Peng Bin, founder and CEO of XAG, delivered a keynote speech at the High-quality Development Forum of the Asia Youth Leaders Forum. Following is the full text of the speech.
Good afternoon. The theme of my speech today is “How Digital Technology is Advancing the High-quality Development of Agriculture”. XAG is an agricultural technology company. We aim to use scientific and technological methods and products to solve agricultural problems. I am the founder of XAG.
We can see that in the next few decades, not only in China, but also in every corner of the world, there will be severe problems of food security. On the one hand, the area of lands will not increase. On the other, the global population continues to rise. How do we tackle this problem? In addition, what is happening in China is that the rural labor force is decreasing. Although China’s total population remains as is, young people do not want to stay in the countryside. They want to come to big cities, such as Guangzhou. Recently, the traffic has been especially jammed, which is said to be because many young people have come to Guangzhou after the pandemic. This problem is not unique to China. Abroad, the situation is the same. Because young people are reluctant to work in agriculture, agricultural population is dwindling.
These products actually serve the entire agricultural production process, including tilling, planting, managing, and harvesting. Our products can help turn traditional tractors into assisted driving or automatic driving vehicles. Just now we have seen that sowing in the cotton field is in a very straight line. This is because when the cotton picker is working, we cannot use traditional planting methods. Instead, we must resort to automated tractors. Therefore, even in a stretch of one or two kilometers, it can maintain a deviation of 5 centimeters from the course. In addition to tilling, it can be applied in sowing, planting, and management. Drones can spray pesticides and apply fertilizers. In some cases, they can even sow seeds.
Finally, in the entire crop production process, scientific and technological products can be involved. In the past, if someone attended to 200 or 500 mu of land, they might need to walk for a whole day to observe the growth of crops in the field. Now, if they use agricultural drones and agricultural IOT products, they may not need an hour. In a few minutes or half an hour, they may be able to manage the whole filed. This way, human involvement in field management can be greatly reduced. No doubt, after all these content, hardware, and software are applied, together with data and automated analysis, farming becomes more modern and intelligent.
We sell these products to countries around the world. Aside from China, we sell our products in 50 countries and regions overseas. Meanwhile, we are also making bolder explorations to connect all these products into a standard solution. We are growing 3,000 mu of cotton in China. We see that the yield of these super cotton fields has greatly outnumbered that of the surrounding big growers, all the while with costs going down. Therefore, science and technology not only help farmers increase production and income in a specific point in the process. When it becomes a complete solution, it can also solve, on a broader scale, the problem of agricultural production efficiency.
Of course, the manufacturing of these products – this good software and hardware – will be impossible without the sophisticated manufacturing industry in the Greater Bay Area and its complete industry chains. The making of a drone, from R&D in Guangzhou to production in the plant in Dongguan and eventually to customs clearance for export, requires little time. Moreover, we launch a new generation of products every year to swiftly upgrade our products and to achieve rapid penetration in the market.
Because it is agriculture, it matters to people. Whether it is the country or the public, everyone cares. Therefore, our main business, agricultural scientific and technological products, is also our social responsibility. Over the long term, we’ve made some achievements: avoiding food loss, lowering water usage, and, of course, reducing carbon emissions.
