11月27日下午，在2021亚洲青年领袖论坛“文化教育与旅游发展”主题论坛平行对话中，环球网总裁单成彪就“人民底色，环球气质”的话题发表了自己的观点。

大家知道，环球网是《人民日报》主管，人民网和《环球时报》联合主办的中央新闻网站，我们的特征就是人民底色，环球气质。我们讲的人民底色就是人民的血脉，它是红色的血脉，环球气质是国际化。所以，我很高兴今天能够参与到亚洲青年领袖论坛里面来。连接中外，沟通世界确实是我们环球网的主要使命。那么，“一带一路”、亚洲都是我们的主题关键词。

我印象特别深，今天阿罗约前总统上午做了视频致辞。2019年7月底，在中国公共外交协会的支持下，我们在马尼拉举办了“一带一路”经贸人文论坛，是在菲律宾第一次以“一带一路”为主题的国际性会议。2019年，阿罗约前总统亲自到场，发表了热情洋溢的讲话，这是菲律宾的政要第一次对“一带一路”作出了明确积极的响应。这个响应包括她后来接受了我们环球网送的环环球球的小公仔，成为我们传播的重要热点。后来，我们在马来西亚、哈萨克斯坦等一系列的亚洲重要国家和“一带一路”沿线国家的重要城市组织的国际交流活动，也都成为我们重要的新闻来源和传播热点。

另一方面也很重要的，是我们环球网经过多年努力形成品牌影响力之后，在境内外的网友、网民经常给我们提供各种新闻线索。像最近，就在前几天，某家国际知名媒体在推特上发了一条新闻，但是他们配的图不对。我们环球网及时对此进行了报道，而且通过我们的社交媒体发出去以后，再通过网友们的转发，很快形成热点，让这家国际知名媒体第一时间先删了这条推特贴文。仅仅删文我们认为还不够，他们应该道歉。紧接着我们第二条报道出来了，直指他们删了文章并没有道歉。后来这家媒体的发言人给我们《环球时报》英文版编辑发了邮件，代表这家媒体向环球时报、环球网道歉，向网民道歉。我们又把这条新闻发出去了，每一条点击量都是10万+。这就是最近这一周发生的事。

On 27 November, Shan Chengbiao, general manager of the Huanqiu Network portal, explained the two traits of Huanqiu Network – people-centricity and global outlook – at the Culture, Education, and Tourism Development Forum of the Asia Youth Leaders Forum 2021.

As you may know, Huanqiu Network is a news website supervised by the People's Daily. It is founded by People's Daily Online and Global Times. The network is characterized by people-centricity and a global outlook. People-centricity means that it is for the people. A global outlook means that it covers global news. I'm very happy to attend the Asia Youth Leaders Forum today. Connecting China with the rest of the world is indeed our major mission. Belt and Road and Asia are both keywords on our radar.

I still remember the video remarks this morning by Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, former president of the Philippines. At the end of July 2019, with the support of the China Public Diplomacy Association, we held a Belt and Road China-Philippines Forum on People-to-People Exchange and Economic Cooperation in Manila. That was the first international conference focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in the Philippines. Former President Arroyo attended the forum and gave a passionate speech. It was the first time that a Philippine dignitary had made a clear and positive response to BRI. Her response, in addition to her acceptance of our mascots Huanhuan and Qiuqiu, became important stories. That was in 2019. Besides, a series of international activities we organized in major cities in Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and other major Asian countries and BRI countries also became important sources of news and hot topics. 

On the other hand, it is worth noting that, since we have built up our brand with years of effort, domestic and overseas Web users provide us with various news clues. Just a few days ago, a well-known international media organization posted a piece of news on Twitter, but they posted an inappropriate photo. We covered this instantly on our website and social media. It was then reposted by Twitter users and became viral. This well-known international media organization had to delete the tweet. After they deleted it, we didn't think it was enough, because they owed us an apology. Then we posted a second tweet that they had deleted the tweet without an apology. Later on, the spokesperson of this media organization emailed our English news editor, apologizing to Global Times, Huanqiu Network, and Web users on behalf of their organization. We then posted this email. Every one of these posts got more than 100,000 impressions. This happened just last week.
