各位来宾、青年朋友们：
很高兴来到美丽的广州与大家共同出席亚洲青年领袖论坛，首先我谨代表中央对外联络部向出席论坛的各位嘉宾和青年朋友致以诚挚的问候。
不久前，中国全国两会顺利闭幕。在十四届全国人大一次会议第三次全体会议上，总书记全票当选国家主席、中央军委主席，充分反映了全国各族人民的共同心愿，充分体现了中国党的意志、人民意志、国家意志的高度统一，极大地鼓舞和激励亿万中国人民更加紧密地团结在以总书记为核心的中央周围，促力奋发，勇毅前行，为实现二十大确定的目标任务而共同奋斗。
当今世界多重挑战和危机交织叠加，世界经济复苏艰难，发展鸿沟不断拉大，生态环境持续恶化，冷战思维阴魂不散，人类社会现代化进程又一次来到了历史的十字路口。面对一系列的现代化之问，总书记在3月15日举行的中国与世界高层对话会开幕式主旨讲话中，首次提出全球文明倡议。倡导尊重世界文明多样性，坚持文明平等、互鉴、对话、包容，以文明交流超越文明隔阂，文明互鉴超越文明冲突，文明包容超越文明优越；倡导弘扬全人类共同价值，和平、发展、公平、正义、民主、自由是各国人民的共同追求，要以宽广的胸怀理解不同文明对价值内涵的认识，不将自己的价值观和模式强加于人，不搞意识形态对抗；倡导重视文明传承和创新，充分挖掘各国历史文化的时代价值，推动各国优秀传统文化在现代化进程中实现创造性转化、创新性发展；倡导加强各国人文交流合作，探讨构建全球文明对话合作网络，丰富交流内容，拓展合作渠道，促进各国人民相知相亲，共同推动人类文明发展进步。
全球文明倡议是继全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议后中国为国际社会提供的又一重要公共产品，为推动人类现代化进程，推动构建人类命运共同体注入了强大的正能量。
亚洲是人类文明的重要板块，是人类现代化进程的重要贡献者。青年是各国的未来，青年强则国家强，一个和平、发展、繁荣的亚洲必将有力推动人类走向更加美好的未来。我们呼吁亚洲青年加强团结，大力弘扬和平、发展、公平、正义、民主、自由的全人类共同价值，以实际行动为亚洲和世界的发展作出贡献。
我们要携手建设一个和平安全的亚洲。亚洲青年要坚持同舟共济，团结协作，勇于应对时代挑战，化解彼此误解分歧，增进各国互尊互信，促进各国和睦相处，积极推动构建亚洲命运共同体。
我们要携手建设一个共同繁荣的亚洲。亚洲青年要始终把各国人民对美好生活的向往作为自己的努力方向，积极推动各领域交流合作，大力推进开放、包容、普惠、平衡、共赢的经济全球化，以勤劳和智慧缔造富足安康的美好生活。
我们要携手建设一个包容互鉴的亚洲。亚洲青年要以全球文明倡议为指引，深入开展全球文明交流互鉴，积极促进亚洲各国人民相知相亲、民心相通，推动亚洲文明发展进步。
我们要建设一个开放创新的亚洲。亚洲青年要勇于站在时代的浪潮之巅，以开放推动进步，以创新带动发展，以青年人独有的闯劲、勇气和不懈探索为亚洲发展开创光明的未来。

Qian Hongshan calls for joint efforts to build an Asia of peace and security, shared prosperity, inclusion and mutual learning, and openness and innovation
On 25 March, Qian Hongshan, vice minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, delivered his remarks at the Opening Ceremony of the Asia Youth Leaders Forum. Following is the full text of the remarks.
Distinguished guests,
Dear young friends,
Good morning. It is a pleasure to be here in the beautiful city of Guangzhou and join you at the Asia Youth Leader Forum. On behalf of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, I would like to extend my sincere greetings to all the guests and young friends here at the forum.
Not long ago, China’s “two sessions” were concluded. At the third plenary session of the First Session of the 14th National People’s Congress, Comrade Xi Jinping was unanimously elected president of China and chairperson of the Central Military Commission. This has clearly reflected the common expectation of the whole party, the whole army, and the people of all ethnic groups in the country and demonstrated the high degree of unity in China of the will of the party, the people, and the state. It has greatly inspired and encouraged hundreds of millions of Chinese people to rally more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core and forge ahead resolutely for the goals and missions put forward at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
In today’s world, multiple challenges and crises are intertwined. The global economic recovery remains sluggish; the development gap is widening; ecological environment is deteriorating; and the Cold War mentality is lingering. Humanity’s modernization process has once again reached a crossroads of history. Faced with this series of modernization problems, during his keynote address at the opening ceremony of the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting on 15 March, General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the Global Civilization Initiative for the first time.
He advocates the respect for the diversity of civilizations. Countries need to uphold the principles of equality, mutual learning, dialogue, and inclusiveness among civilizations, and let cultural exchanges transcend estrangement, mutual learning transcend clashes, and coexistence transcend feelings of superiority.
He advocates the common values of humanity. Peace, development, equity, justice, democracy, and freedom are the common aspirations of all peoples. Countries need to keep an open mind in appreciating the perceptions of values by different civilizations, and refrain from imposing their own values or models on others and from stoking ideological confrontation.
He advocates the importance of inheritance and innovation of civilizations. Countries need to fully harness the relevance of their histories and cultures to the present times, and push for creative transformation and innovative development of their fine traditional cultures.
He advocates robust international people-to-people exchanges and cooperation. Countries need to explore the building of a global network for inter-civilization dialogue and cooperation, enrich the contents of exchanges, and expand avenues of cooperation to promote mutual understanding and friendship among people of all countries and jointly advance the progress of human civilizations.
After the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative is yet another important public good China has shared with the world. It will inject strong impetus into advancing humanity’s modernization process and building a community with a shared future for mankind.
Asia is an important part of the human civilization and a major contributor to humanity’s modernization process. Youth is the future of a nation. A country will prosper as long as its youth thrive. A peaceful, developed, and prosperous Asia is bound to usher humanity into a brighter future. We call on young people in Asia to strengthen solidarity and uphold vigorously humanity’s shared values such as peace, development, equity, justice, democracy, and freedom, contributing with concrete actions to the development of Asia and the world.
We must join hands and build an Asia of peace and security. Asian youth should support each other and come together to face up to the challenges of the times, resolve misunderstandings and differences, enhance mutual respect and trust among countries, push for harmonious coexistence, and actively contribute to the building of an Asian community with a shared future.
We must join hands and build an Asia of shared prosperity. Asian youth should always take the aspiration of people of all countries for a better life as the calling, to actively promote exchanges and cooperation in all fields, vigorously promote open, inclusive, beneficial, balanced, and win-win economic globalization, and create a prosperous and healthy life with hard work and wisdom.
We must join hands and build an Asia of inclusion and mutual learning. Asian youth should keep the Global Civilization Initiative in mind and engage in depth in civilizations’ exchanges and mutual learning, to promote understanding and friendship among the peoples of Asia and encourage development and progress of Asian civilizations.
We must build an Asia of openness and innovation. Asian youth should be brave in riding the wave of the times, to push for progress with openness, drive development with innovation, and create a bright future for Asian development with vigor, courage, and unremitting exploration unique to youth.

The International Department of the CPC Central Committee is the international exchange arm of the CPC. We attach great importance to exchanges and cooperation with youth leaders. We will continue to support the China Foundation for Peace and Development in enhancing understanding and friendship among peoples of the world through international charitable and public welfare activities, and building the Asia Youth Leaders Forum into an important platform for strengthening international exchanges among youth, promoting growth and progress in youth, and contributing to world peace and development.
We welcome more international youth to visit China and experience the development practice of the Chinese modernization. We hope that through mutual learning, young people from all countries will enhance their understanding, foster friendship, strengthen cooperation, and progress together, to contribute their youthful efforts to building a human community with a shared future.
