尊敬的各位领导、各位来宾、各位青年领袖、女士们、先生们:
大家中午好!非常荣幸参加本届亚洲青年领袖论坛,与各位青年精英共商合作,共谋发展。作为越秀集团的参会代表,接下来我将围绕“以高质量发展为青年搭建广阔舞台”这个主题和大家做一个交流。
首先,高质量发展是解决前进道路上问题的基础和关键。从历史发展的规律来看,发展能够创造资源、增量和价值,能够更好地解决遇到的问题。当前,发展的重心已经转向高质量发展,将更多从“有没有”转向关注“好不好”。越秀集团是一家以金融、房地产、交通基建和食品为四大主业,具有跨境经营特色的综合性国际化企业集团。近年来,越秀集团坚持高质量发展导向,聚焦主业,持续优化调整布局和结构,着力提升企业的核心能力,不断深化市场化的体制机制,深入践行国企使命担当,实现了规模和效益的同步增长,走出了一条具有越秀特色的国有企业高质量发展之路。“十三五”期间,越秀集团主要经济指标复合增长率保持两位数的增长,我们实现了“再造一个越秀”。近两年,面对新冠疫情冲击和超预期的多重压力挑战,越秀集团稳中求进,经营业绩持续增长,目前集团资产总额接近万亿,营收超过千亿,继续保持高质量的发展态势。接下来我们将锚定高质量迈向世界500强的“十四五”战略目标,持续优化调整结构,不断提升市场竞争力,推动高质量发展再上新台阶。
其次,共享和合作是发展的永恒主题。高质量发展是共享的发展,唯有合作,才能实现发展的共赢和成果的共享。越秀集团在发展过程中始终高度重视创造社会价值,共享发展成果,成就美好生活。在地产领域,越秀地产成立40年来先后打造了200多个高品质的住宅小区,帮助千万家庭实现安居梦,坚持“商住并举”战略,建设运营了以广州国际金融中心为代表的地标建筑,打造了中国十大商圈之一的广州天河商圈,业态涵盖写字楼、酒店、零售商场、康养等,创造了大量就业。金融是实体经济的血脉。在金融领域,我们拥有银行、证券、融资租赁、资产管理、产业基金等多个业务平台,业务遍及全国,横跨粤港澳,为青年创新创业提供全方位的金融支持。路通则财通。在交通基建领域,我们在全国有19个高速公路项目,为促进区域的经济发展,服务畅通出行,打造宜居、宜业、宜游优质生活圈贡献力量。“民以食为天”,在农业食品领域,集团正在大力发展乳业、生猪养殖、食品加工、食品流通等多个领域,致力于打造湾区领先的食品集团,为广大人民提供更多优质食品。
第三,青年是社会进步的重要推动力量。青年代表着责任、信念、力量和未来,越秀集团始终致力于为青年的成长创造良好的环境,从人才的引进、人才的培养、市场化机制等方面为青年搭建广阔舞台。2019年以来,集团引进人才的平均年龄33岁,其中90后超过了一半,目前集团共有员工超过3.9万人,平均年龄38岁,从海外引进的人才超过1000人,可以说是朝气蓬勃,充满活力。同时,集团在业务板块全面推行职业经理人制度,持续优化完善市场化的激励约束机制,不断深化企业发展的内生动力,目前集团和下属板块共有超过500人的职业经理人队伍,70后和90后占比接近80%,越来越多的优秀青年正在担当大任。
各位领导、各位来宾、各位青年领袖,粤港澳大湾区是一片充满前景和希望的发展热土,广州是一座充满吸引力和竞争力的城市,根据统计,今年2月以来,广州位居全国人口迁入地排名榜第一位,越来越多的年轻人选择广州。越秀集团深耕大湾区多年,拥有良好的发展基础,我们真诚的希望和各位青年领袖加强合作,共同把握、分享机遇,实现资源共享、平台互动、互惠共赢,在高质量的路上行稳致远。

Building a Broad Stage for Youth through High-quality Development
On 25 March, Lin Zhaoyuan, deputy secretary of CPC committee and general manager of Guangzhou Yuexiu Enterprise Holdings Limited, delivered a keynote speech at the Opening Ceremony of the Asia Youth Leaders Forum. Following is the full text of the speech.

Dear youth leaders,
Ladies and gentlemen,
Greetings to you all. It is a great honor to participate in this Asia Youth Leaders Forum, and to discuss with the young elites here on cooperation and development. As the representative of Yuexiu Group, I would like to share my thoughts with you under the topic “Build a Broad Stage for Youth with High-quality Development”.
Firstly, high-quality development is the foundation and key to solving problems on the way forward. From a historical perspective, development can create resources, growth, and value and better tackle the problems encountered. At present, the priority has shifted to high-quality development, more from “to be” toward “to be better”.
Yuexiu Group is an international corporation that operates mainly in four areas, namely, finance, real estate, transportation infrastructure, and foods, with business extending overseas. In recent years, under the banner of high-quality development, we have been focusing on our main businesses, optimizing our business structure, improving our core abilities, and deepening our market orientation. We have fulfilled our responsibility as a state-owned enterprise and achieved improvement in both economic size and cost-effectiveness, blazing our own path of state-owned companies’ high-quality development. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, we maintained a double-digit growth of the major economic indicators and realized our goal of “making another Yuexiu Group”.
In the past two years, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact and other unexpected challenges, we managed to secure growth on the basis of steady development, with our revenues on a continuous rise. Currently, our asset stands at around one trillion yuan, and revenues exceed 100 billion yuan. We are maintaining our momentum for high-quality development.
Our next goal is becoming a Global 500 company through high-quality development in the 14th Five-Year Plan period. We will constantly optimize our business structure to increase our competitiveness and the degree of high-quality development.
Secondly, sharing and cooperation are the eternal themes of development. High-quality development is shared development. Only through cooperation can we achieve win-win development and share its benefits. Throughout our development, we have been paying great attention to creating socials values, sharing development benefits, and pushing for a happy life.
In the real estate sector, Yuexiu Real Estate, since its establishment 40 years ago, has built more than 200 high-quality residential properties, helping countless families acquire homeownership. We attach equal importance to commercial properties. We have built and are operating Guangzhou International Finance Center among other landmark buildings. We have created one of China’s top ten commercial areas: Tianhe commercial area. Our businesses cover office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, and wellness centers, creating many jobs.
Finance is the bloodline of the real economy. In the financial sector, we have such business platforms as banking, securities, financial leasing, asset management, and industry-specific funds. We operate our business throughout the country, including Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and thus we can support youth innovation and entrepreneurship financially in an all-round manner.
Connectivity is the foundation of prosperity. In the transportation infrastructure sector, we have 19 highway projects across China. These projects have promoted regional economic development, smooth transportation, and the creation of quality living circles suitable for living, working, and traveling.
Food matters most to the people. In the agri-food sector, we are vigorously developing dairy, pig breeding, food processing, and food distribution, committed to becoming a leading food company in the Greater Bay Area and providing people with more quality foods.
Thirdly, the young generation is an important driving force for social progress. Youth represent responsibility, faith, strength, and the future. Yuexiu Group stays committed to creating a good environment for young people’s development. In terms of talent attraction, talent nurturing, and market orientation, we have created a broad stage for youth.
Since 2019, the average age of our new employees is 33, of which more than half are post-90s. Currently we have a total of 39,000 employees, with an average age of 38, and 1,000 of them are hired from overseas. We can say the group is full of vigor and vitality. At the same time, we have implemented the mechanism of professional executives across our business modules. We continue improving our market-oriented incentives mechanism and unleashing our inner strength for growth. Currently, the group and its subsidiaries employ over 500 professional executives, of which the post-70s and post-90s generations account for nearly 80%. More and more young people are taking on important roles.

The Greater Bay Area is a fertile land of promise and potentials, and Guangzhou is a city full of charms and competitiveness. Statistics show that since February this year, Guangzhou has been the largest destination of migration from across the country. More and more young people are choosing Guangzhou.
Yuexiu Group, with many years of development in the Greater Bay Area, enjoys a solid foundation for further growth. We sincerely wish to strengthen cooperation with you youth leaders, seize and share opportunities, and achieve resource sharing, platform interaction, and mutual benefits and success, so as to move steadily and further in on the road of high quality.
